Agasi pudi(flax seed powder)

Flax seed is generally known as Linseed and ALSI -- there are regional names for this as well. General grocery stores where you get your dals will carry this or you could ask them where to get it.. 
Flaxseeds is known as San, Alsi in Hindi, Agasi in Kannada, Ali Vidai/Ali Virai in Tamil, Atasi and Jawas in Marathi, Tishi in Bengali, Pesi in Oriya, , Avise Ginzalu in Telugu, and Cheruchana vithu in Malayalam.
        In our North Karnataka, we make agasi pudi just like other pudis(chatni pudi,putani pudi,gurellu pudi) and it is usually served with jawar rotti or bakhri and with rice also.
Ingridients

1cup agasi
5-6 cloves garlic
2 tbs jeera
1 tsp salt
4-5 tbs red chillie powder

Directions

If u are frying on tava then first fry agasi and then jeera and garlic.let it cool for few mins.
In a mixer grinder put agasi,jeera,garlic,salt and red chillie powder and make into fine powder.

In oven

spread your flax seeds, jeera and garlic cloves and let it sit in oven at 350 deg for about 20-25 mins and let it cool and in a mixer grinder put agasi,jeera,garlic,salt and red chillie powder and make into fine powder.
